TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sept. 28) -- Thiel College freshman wide receiver Isaiah Gladney (Jackson, Ala./Jackson) earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week recognition Monday afternoon.

Gladney hauled in nine passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns in Thiel's Homecoming matchup against Hiram last Saturday. His 203 receiving yards rank ninth in program history and are the most by a Tomcat since Deshawon Bracy recorded 216 yards in 2016.

Gladney and quarterback Na'Jier Howard (Youngstown, Ohio/Struthers) connected for several explosive plays, including a 50-yard completion late in the first half. With 2:17 remaining in the game, Howard found Gladney for a 46-yard touchdown. Gladney then recovered the ensuing onside kick before hauling in a 40-yard touchdown pass from Howard on the very next play.

His 203 receiving yards are the most by a PAC player this season and the 12th-highest mark in DIII in 2026. His nine receptions are tied for the third most in the conference this season.

On the year, Gladney leads the PAC and is 22nd in DIII in receiving yards (371). His 24 receptions lead the conference and are tied for 20th in DIII.

The Tomcats are back in action Saturday for a 7 p.m. tilt with PAC-foe Allegheny at Alumni Stadium.
