GROVE CITY, Pa. (Sept. 19) -- The Thiel College Women's Volleyball team fell in straight sets to Case Western Reserve University Saturday afternoon in the Grove City Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament from the Grove City Intramural Facility.
The Tomcats dip to 3-3 while the Spartans rise to 7-5 with set wins of 25-16, 25-12, 25-17.
Hannah Myers (Warren, Ohio/John F. Kennedy Catholic) led Thiel with a match-high-tying seven kills on .250.
Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) added four kills with a match-high three blocks.
Caitlin Stephens (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) and
Addi Vagi (Marysville, Mich./Marysville) each recorded four kills with Vagi logging a team-most 11 digs and dishing out six assists.
Rian Owens (Neshannock, Pa./Neshannock) led Thiel with 10 helpers.
Jordan Yoder (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop) made six digs while
Macie Williams (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) had five. Thiel held a 5-1 edge in blocks.
The Tomcats are back in action Tuesday for a road tilt against No. 8 Carnegie Mellon at 7 p.m.
