Men's Lacrosse drops tight battle at Hilbert

Box Score HAMBRUG, N.Y. (March 7) -- The Thiel College Men's Lacrosse team dropped an 11-6 clash at Hilbert College Saturday afternoon in non-conference action from Frontier High School in Hamburg, N.Y.

The Tomcats dip to 1-5 (0-1) while the Hawks rise to 1-0.

Quentin Cato (Rochester, N.Y./Gates Chili) netted a career-most and game-high-tying three goals. Logan Millie (Fairview, Pa./Fairview) netted a pair of goals with six ground balls. Kasey Estep (Brunswick, Ohio/Holy Name) added a goal with two caused turnovers.

Defensively, Dom Baker (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg), a reigning USILA DIII Team of the Week honoree, caused a team-most four turnovers and snagged seven ground balls. Bereket Debebe (Silverspring, Md./Paint Branch) had three caused turnovers and recorded five ground balls.

Austin Parker (Titusville, Pa./Maplewood) won 9-of-17 faceoffs with a team-most eight ground balls. 

Ethan Narby (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) made 14 saves in goal.

Thiel is back in action next Friday for a home 1 p.m. non-conference clash with Gordon.
