GREENVILLE, Pa. (March 24) -- The Thiel College Men's Tennis team fell 7-0 to Waynesburg University Wednesday evening from Tomcat Tennis Courts in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) showdown.
The Tomcats dip to 0-7 (0-3) while the Yellow Jackets rise to 2-3 (1-0).
Tyrus Horton (Fuquay Varina, N.C./Athens Drive) and
Bret Vilage (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) collected a convincing 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.
Horton, coming off a 2-0 week at No. 1 singles, dropped a tightly contested 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 clash with Ethan Clawson.Â
Thiel is back in action Friday at home against Grove City at 4 p.m.
