GREENVILLE, Pa. (Feb. 7) -- The Thiel College Men's Basketball team fell 87-65 to Saint Vincent College Saturday evening in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) interdivisional clash on Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
The Tomcats' (6-14, 3-9) two game winning streak comes to an end as the Bearcats rise to 14-7 (9-3).
Three Tomcats reached double figures as
Das Sanders (Dallas, Texas/Fort Worth Christian) and
Khamari Accursio-Harris (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter) led Thiel with 12 points each. Sanders led the Cats with six boards while Accursio-Harris had five.
John DiCecco (Indianapolis, Ind./Lebanon) added 10 points with a pair of 3-pointers.
The Bearcats held leads of as many as 13 in the first half as the Tomcats were unable to get closer than 8 down in the final 10 minutes of the half.
Thiel drew withing 7 at 50-43 on a DiCecco 3-ball at the 16:49 mark. Layups from
Logan Lentz (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and Sanders kept Thiel 7 at the 12:50 mark. The visitors used a 17-2 run over the next 3:43 to pull away en route to the win.
Lentz finished with 4 points in reserve.
Kadenne Kemp (Inglewood, Cali./Northgate (Pa.)) added 7 points, five boards and two helpers while
Anthony Henderson II (Miramar, Fla./Somerset Academy) and
Kenny Ermat (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla./Boyd Anderson) each pitched in 6 points.
Thiel is back in action Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. road PAC North clash at Geneva.
