GREENVILLE, Pa. (Feb. 14) -- The Thiel College Men's Basketball team fell 80-67 to Washington and Jefferson College Saturday afternoon on Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) interdivisional clash.
The Tomcats dip to 6-16 (3-11) while the Presidents rise to 17-6 (10-4).
Das Sanders (Dallas, Texas/Fort Worth Christian) led all scorers with a career-high 24 points on 12-of-20 from the field. Sanders grabbed a career-and-game most 10 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double. Seven of his boards came on the offensive glass. The sophomore added a pair of helpers and steals each.
Kadenne Kemp (Inglewood, Cali./Northgate (Pa.)) added 17 points on 8-of-12 to go with nine rebounds.
Anthony Henderson II (Miramar, Fla./Somerset Academy) pitched in 11 points with a career-most six steals and a career-best tying five assists.
Zech Lilly (Madison Heights, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) snagged six boards while
Kenny Ermat (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla./Boyd Anderson) corralled five and had 2 points and steals each.
Thiel held a 16-9 edge in second-chance points and a 35-21 lead in bech scoring.
The Tomcats are back in action Wednesday for an 8 p.m. PAC North clash at Allegheny.
