BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — The Thiel College women's basketball team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at Geneva College on Wednesday evening concluding with an 84-50 road loss.
Thiel falls to 1-12 in conference play (6-16) as the Tornadoes add another win to their PAC slate (8-14, 5-8).
After a competitive opening quarter, Thiel trailed just 18-14 but couldn't keep the pace to Geneva's second and third quarter scoring burst.
Thiel shot 42% from the field in the fourth quarter and scored off the fast break nine times.
Emily Betsinger (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) dropped a game best 20 points while securing seven boards. She shot 9-for-13 from the floor while grabbing two steals and dishing out two assists.
Kayley Risser (Reynoldsville, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) went a perfect 4-for-4 in free throws and put up 15 points on the offense. Risser grabbed a game high nine boards and three assists.
Issy Green (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) had a game best seven assists, and five points as did
Kelsey Seddon (Cochranton, Pa./Lakeview).
Thiel is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 14 as they host W&J at 1 p.m. for their pink game! The Tomcats will honor the 1985, '86 and '88 PAC Champions at halftime of the match.
