WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Jan. 31) -- The Thiel College Women's Basketball team dropped an 85-49 matchup at Waynesburg University in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) interdivisional play Saturday afternoon from Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
The Tomcats drop to 6-13 (1-9) while the Yellow Jackets improve to 9-10 (5-5).
Emily Betsinger (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) posted game highs in points (18) and rebounds (16) for her second career double-double. Betsinger's 16 boards were also a game high. She finished 8-of-16 from the field and 2-of-3 at the free throw line.
Issy Green (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) recorded 15 points on 5-of-15 and 4-of-4 at the line to go with five boards.
Natalie Hering (Middlefield, Ohio/Berkshire) added 5 points on 2-of-2 to go with two blocked shots.
Owen Hansen (Lyman, Wyo./Lyman) led Thiel with three assists along with a trio of boards.
Kayley Risser (Reynoldsville, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) added 3 points and a pair of boards.
Thiel is back in action Wednesday for a PAC North clash at Hiram beginning at 5:30.
