GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Thiel Women's Soccer team dropped their non-conference contest 3-0 to Penn State New Kensington Wednesday night from Alumni Stadium.
Thiel falls to 0-5 on the year, as New Kensington picked up their first win of the season.
Despite out shooting the Lions 33-9, Thiel was unable to put one in the back of the net.
Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland) led the offense with 15 shots, nine of which were on goal. Abbey Balentine (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) had seven shots and Stacie Weimert (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) had four.
Goalkeeper Brianna Hollandsworth (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) was only faced with nine shots, and she made four saves.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Alfred N.Y. to take on Alfred State at 1 p.m.
