ALFRED, N.Y. -- The Thiel College Women's Soccer team dropped their last non-conference match of the season 5-2 to Alfred State Saturday afternoon.
The Tomcats fall to 0-6 on the regular season, as the Pioneer's advance to 4-3.
Alfred State struck quick with two goals in the first three minutes of the contest to give them the early 2-0 lead.
Thiel got on the board in the 75th minute of the game off a goal from sophomore Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland).
DeBlois got her second goal of the day off a penalty kick in the 84th minute of the match. She led the offense with three shots, two of which were on goal.
Goalkeeper Madison Rodgers (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) got her third start of the year and made 19 saves.
Thiel returns to action on Wednesday, September 24 as they open conference play at Hiram College at 4 p.m.
