NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Aug. 29) -- The Thiel College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams opened their 2025 seasons at Westminster College's Fisher Invite in a 5k.

Nathaniel Turner (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area) paced the Tomcats as he finished 20th in a crowded filed of 85 with a time of 16:44.73. 

Andrew Yocum (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) finished 61st with a run of 18:38.65 while Cooper Riley (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) was 62nd with a time of 18:43.54. Dominick Russell (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) was 79th with a time of 20:40.64. 

On the women's side, Brooke Griffith (Chicora, Pa./Karns City) paced the women with a time of 24:43.32 to finish 84th. Savannah Schill (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) opened her collegiate career with a run of 24:57.25 to finish 87th.

Both teams return to action on Sept. 29 for the Allegheny Classic with the men starting at 9:45 a.m. and the women at 10:30.
