GREENVILLE, Pa. (Nov. 13) -- The Thiel College Women's Volleyball team fell in straight sets to Grove City College Thursday evening in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament Semifinal in front of a capacity crowd from Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
The Tomcats conclude the 2025 campaign with a 17-9 overall record, matching there 2024 mark. The Blue and Gold finish the season 8-2 on Maenpa Court, with both losses coming at the hands of the Wolverines (19-8), who advance to Saturday's title bout against top seed Hiram. Thiel's eight home wins are its most in a season since 2012.
Thiel opened the match hot as a
Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) kill made it 4-1. The Wolverines worked there way back to lead 11-9 as seven straight sideouts made it 14-13 visitors. Grove City went on to tally 5 of the next 7 and 8-of-11 to lead 22-16. Thiel saved a pair of set points, the later of which came on a
Lyndzee Amory (Edinboro, Pa./Saegertown) kill from a
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) assist, before Grove City walked away with set one.
Jenness finished with a contest-leading 13 kills along with six digs. Jenness concludes her Thiel career as one of the programs best attackers with 1,093 career kills, the seventh most in team history.
Reynolds ends her Thiel career as one of the greatest setters in team history. Her 2,255 assists are good for fifth most in the history of the program. She ends with 1,136 career digs and is 1 of just 2 Tomcats ever with 2,000-plus assists and 1,000-plus digs. She logged her 15th double-double of the season in the loss with 29 assists and 12 digs.
Thiel looked poised to take set two as they led 11-6 and pulled ahead 17-11 with a 4-0 spurt. The visitors answered with 3 straight and 11-of-13 to jump ahead 22-19. Thiel got 2 back with
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kan./Mineral Ridge) at the service line before Grove City recorded 3-of-4 to go ahead 2-0.
Aulet concludes her time in Greenville as the programs career digs record holder with 2,099. Her mark in career digs per set (4.89) is the second best in Thiel history. She had a match-best 24 digs in the contest.
Thiel led 6-5 in set three before Grove City went on a 10-0 spurt to lead 15-6. The Tomcats saved five match points with Jenness behind the line before a setter dump gave the Wolverines the match and booked their ticket to the championship.

Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) to two kills and just her second negative hitting percentage of the season. DeLattre concludes her junior campaign with a .319 hitting percentage, the fifth best in program history. She added a team-best four blocks in the defeat.
Aaleeah Brennan (North Port, Fla./Florida Virtual School) added five kills for the Tomcats while
Caitlin Stephens (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) had three.
Sarah Wilson (Rural Valley, Pa./West Shamokin) dug 11 balls while
Macie Williams (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) added five.
