TRAFFORD, Pa. (Oct. 6) -- Thiel College Women's Volleyball libero Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kan./Mineral Ridge) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday evening.

The PAC honor is Aulet's fourth in her career, as she was named Defensive Player of the Week once last season and Newcomer of the Week twice in 2021.

Aulet totaled 41 digs for an average of 6.83 per set last week as Thiel went 2-0 in PAC play with sweeps over Hiram and Saint Vincent to move into first place in the PAC North.

Aulet dug match-leading 21 balls and had an ace and assist each in Thiel's home win over Hiram Wednesday. She had a match-pacing 20 digs, two assists and one ace in Thiel's triumph at Saint Vincent Saturday.

Aulet has posted at least 20 digs in each of the last three matches and four times on the season.

She is fourth among active DIII players and second in program history in career digs (1,867). Aulet is chasing Stephanie Shipley's Thiel career digs record of 2,051 as she positions herself to join Shipley as the lone players in program history with at least 2,000 digs.

Women's Volleyball sits atop the PAC North with a 5-1 league mark. They host Allegheny Wednesday and Waynesburg Friday on Maenpa Court with both matches beginning at 7 p.m.
