GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 18) -- The Thiel College Men's Soccer team dropped a 2-0 result to Washington and Jefferson College Saturday afternoon from Alumni Stadium at Stoeber Field in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.
The Tomcats fall to 3-11-1 (0-7-1) as the Presidents rise to 7-6-2 (3-4-1).
The visitors got the scoring started with an early penalty kick in the games first 3 minutes. They added the dagger in the 76th minute off of a throw in to spell the 2-0 final.
W&J held a slight 7-5 edge in shots on goal as
Dylan Budziak (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor), in his first collegiate start, made five saves.
Andy Mangold (Bradford, Pa./Bradford Area) led Thiel with a pair of shots on goal while
Trey Grazier (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler),
Grant Becker (North Olmsted, Ohio/North Olmsted) and
Brayden Kereszturi (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) each had one.
The Tomcats look to snap their five-game skid when they host Westminster Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in league action. The Tomcats bested the Titans 1-0 in their lone meeting last season.
