GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Thiel College Women's Basketball team dropped their Presidents' Athletic Conference match-up against Geneva College 101-64 Wednesday evening on Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
In the first half, Thiel was able to keep Geneva to 25% (5-of-20) from the three-point line, and 7-19 (36%) in the second.
Freshman Issy Green (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) dropped 18 points to lead Thiel's offense, while also grabbing two rebounds, three assists and three steals. Green went 7-9 from the field, and 2-3 from the free throw line.
Sophomore Jensen Stehlik (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) had another standout performance, picking up 17 points, one steal, and one rebound. Stehlik went 2-3 from the free throw line, and 6-14 from the field.
Josie Lewis (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and Bria Ringloff (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) both grabbed six rebounds each to add to the Tomcat total of 39. Lewis put up 9 points, while also dishing out three assists, and went 3-7 from the field.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday, January 25th when they travel to Latrobe, pa. to take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats. The PAC contest will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by the men's team at 6:00 p.m.
