GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Thiel College Women's Basketball team fell to the Chatham Cougars 97-49 in their PAC match-up this evening.
Chatham is currently ranked second in the PAC with a conference record of 7-2. Thiel drops to an overall record of 0-14, and 0-9 in the conference.
Freshman Catherine Kelly (Butler, Pa./Moniteau) led the charge for the Tomcat offense, putting up 14 points, team high seven rebounds, and went 7-12 from the field.
Reynolds, Pa. native Kayley Risser (Reynoldsville, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) posted 10 points for Thiel, while also grabbing four boards and two steals.
Issy Green (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) also grabbed a team high seven boards, while picking up 9 points and four steals.
A strong defensive front was put on by Lyndzee Amory (Edinboro, Pa./Saegertown) as she picked up six rebounds and went 2-5 from the field.
The Tomcats are back in action on Wednesday, January 15 when they travel to Meadville, Pa. to take on the Allegheny Gators. The conference match-up will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by the men's team at 8:00 p.m.
