GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team fell to the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 7-1, in their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener Friday afternoon.
Three goals in an eight-minute span blew the game open for the Bearcats.
Thiel's lone goal came in the 48
th minute from the penalty spot by
Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland).
Thiel was led by deBlois who recorded three shots and a goal.
For Saint Vincent, Tanisha Grewal recorded two goals on three shots, while Emma Koller recorded one goal and one assist.
In goal for Thiel,
Madison Rodgers (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) got the start, making six saves in 45:00.
Brianna Hollandsworth (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) made four saves.
For Saint Vincent, Rilyn Warner got the start, while Madison Arnold played the final 45:00.
The Tomcats will head to Chatham on Wednesday for another PAC matchup. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
