GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Saturday to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents, 11-9.
Bennett Medyn (Macedon, N.Y./Palmyra Macedon) scored his 100
th career goal in the game. Medyn has scored 101 goals in his career, which currently ranks second in program history.
Medyn scored a game-best five goals Saturday. His fifth goal, which was assisted by
Bryce Knauf (Greenville, Pa./Greenville), forced an 8-8 tie with 6:10 remaining in the third quarter. The Presidents went on to score two goals late in the third frame and held on the rest of the way to earn the conference win.
Zach Melin (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) tallied three points (1G, 2A). Knauf won 10-of-15 faceoffs and recorded two points (1G, 1A).
W&J's Carter Watts led all players with six points (4G, 2A). Paul Shook had five points (2G, 3A).
Ethan Narby (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) made 10 saves for Thiel. Henry Beardwood also made 10 saves for the Presidents.
Thiel will face Franciscan on the road Wednesday. The PAC game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
