GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team lost a non-conference game to the Keuka Wolves, 21-11, Saturday afternoon inside the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
Keuka held a slight 4-3 advantage heading into the second quarter, before the Wolves scored five goals to take a 9-6 lead into halftime.
Keuka outscored Thiel 12-5 in the second half to win the game.
Thiel was led by
Chase Lawler (Etters, Pa./Red Land) who scored a game-high six goals to go along with an assist. Lawler also added five ground balls.
Luca DiRienzo (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) recorded his first collegiate goal, as well as added an assist, while
Bennett Medyn (Macedon, N.Y./Palmyra Macedon) recorded three goals and an assist.
Steve Alcegaire (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) recorded three caused turnovers, while
Austin Parker (Titusville, Pa./Maplewood) went 10-25 on face offs.
Ethan Narby (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) recorded 11 saves in goal.
Keuka was led by Nicholas Pipher recorded four goals and an assist. Matt Jerman recorded three goals, while Ian Rickard recorded two goals, one assist, and one ground ball. Enrique Castillo went 17-26 in the face off circle. Dylan Hoad starting in goal for the Wolves, recording three saves.
The Tomcats will hit the road for a non-conference game on Saturday when they travel to Hilbert. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
