BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to the Buffalo State Bengals, 3-0, on the road Wednesday night.
Buffalo State won by set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.
Thiel was led by
David Gonzalez (El Paso, Texas/Eastwood) who recorded seven kills and three digs.
James Cromwell-Young (Virginia Beach, Va./Green Run) recorded seven kills and a block, while
Jake Dies (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) recorded four kills, two digs and two blocks.
Ben Lowell (Portland, Ore./Sunset) recorded a team-high 15 assists, as well as seven digs.
Buffalo State was led by Gavin Wilczewski who recorded 14 kills and seven digs, while Chris Laboy recorded 12 kills and six digs. Jackson Stang recorded 35 assists, while Alex Nuez recorded 11 digs.
The Tomcats are idle this weekend, before returning to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Friday against the Saint Vincent Bearcats. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
