GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Thiel women's basketball team dropped their non-conference match-up 70-51 against Penn State Shenango this evening.
Thiel was able to hold Shenango to 37.3% from the field and 27.3% from the 3-point line.
Freshman Issy Green (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) and Sophomore Kelsey Seddon (Cochranton, Pa./Lakeview) led Thiel's offense by collecting 11 points each. Seddon had nine rebounds while Green had eight, both shooting over .500 on the free throw line.
Green went 4-4 from the free throw line in the first half, while collecting a team high four steals throughout the game.
Seddon had a second half surge of 10 points and eight rebounds, playing a total of 24 minutes.
The Lions offense was led by Shar'Da Williamson (16) and Jaysina Sellers (13). Sellers also added eight rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Hailee Aguinaga had a team high 15 rebounds, while also putting up nine points.
The Tomcats remain at home when they host Westminster on Wednesday, December 4th. The PAC match-up will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will also be dedicated to the Make a Wish Foundation.
