WOOSTER, Ohio – The Thiel women's basketball team dropped a close contest to the Wooster Fighting Scots 79-70. The Tomcats had 25-point fourth quarter to try to come back for victory.  

Thiel was led by sophomore Kelsey Seddon (Cochranton, Pa./Lakeview), as she added 19 points, 10 rebounds, two steals, and two assists to her career.  

Freshman Kayley Risser (Reynolds, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) had another impressive start to her career with 17 points, four steals, two blocks, and five rebounds.  

Josie Lewis (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) played all 40 minutes of the game and recorded 14 points and a career high 8 assists to add to the Tomcat offense. Jensen Stehlik (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) also grabbed 10 points, six rebounds, and two assists.  

Tatiyana Sturdivant (29) and Mackenzie Riccitelli (23) both had 20+ point games to lead the Fighting Scots to victory. Ella Biondi recorded 13 rebounds and three blocks.  

The Tomcats remain on the road as they travel to Bethany West Virginia on Wednesday, November 13 to face off against the Bison. This will be a start to conference play, and the game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
