GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 8-0, at Alumni Stadium Wednesday afternoon.
Waynesburg got on the board first, going up 1-0 in the 16
th minute. The Yellow Jackets then went on to finish the first half with four goals, before doubling their score in the second half.
Thiel was led by
Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland) who recorded four shots and two shots on goal.
Ashley Ross (Springdale, Pa./Springdale) recorded one shot, while
Hannah Brady (Conneautville, Pa./Conneaut Area) also recorded a shot.
Waynesburg was led by Julz Mohrbacher who recorded two goals. Amanda Pepe recorded one goal and two assists.
In goal for Thiel,
Madison Rodgers (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) started for the Tomcats, making 12 saves.
For Grove City, Lex Greenlief started, making one save. Alex Francus played the second half, making three saves.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Steubenville to take on Franciscan. The conference game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
