GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Franciscan Barons, 9-0, in Steubenville Saturday afternoon.
Franciscan got on the board first, going up 1-0 in the 4th minute. The Barons then went on to finish the first half with three goals. Before going on to score six goals in the second half.
Thiel was led by
Stacie Weimert (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) who recorded one shot and one shot on goal.
Franciscan was led by Eva Dexter who recorded three goals.
In goal for Thiel,
Brianna Hollandsworth (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) started for the Tomcats, making 15 saves.
For Franciscan, Rebekka Dill started, making one save.
The Tomcats are back in action on Wednesday when they return home to take on the Geneva Golden Tornados. The conference game is slated to begin at 5:00 p.m.
