WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team defeated the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 4-3, on the road Wednesday evening.

At first singles, Toby Atwood (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) beat Julia Luzar 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. At second singles, Emily Peters (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) defeated Claire Lace 6-4, 6-3, while Mila Brdar (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport) defeated Karly Starcher 6-2, 6-2 at fourth singles.

At first doubles, Peters and Megan Harding (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) defeated Luzar and Alaire Salonsky 7-5. At second doubles, Atwood and Brdar defeated Julia Corey and Starcher 6-3 to earn the PAC win.

The Tomcats return to action on Friday when they host Franciscan. The PAC match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
