GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match to the Franciscan Barons, 7-0, Friday afternoon.
At first singles,
Toby Atwood (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) fell to Claire Cardie 6-0, 6-1. At second singles,
Emily Peters (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) fell to Kina Ehlers 6-0, 6-0.
Megan Harding (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) fell 6-2, 6-0 to Jordan Beltavski at third singles, while Mile Brdar fell to Lauren Schoenberger 6-0, 6-2 at fourth singles.
Atwood and Brdar fell to Cardi and Ehlers 6-1 at first singles, while Peters and Harding fell to Ronnie Sanders and Lucy Rochat 6-4.
The Tomcats return to action on Saturday when they host Clarion. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at noon.
