GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Geneva Golden Tornados, 5-0, at home Wednesday afternoon.
Geneva got on the board first, going up 1-0 in the 22
nd minute. The Golden Tornados then went on to finish the first half with four goals, before scoring just one in the second half.
Thiel was led by
Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland) who recorded four shots, including two shots on goal.
Stacie Weimert (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) recorded one shot.
Geneva was led by Saige Musser who recorded one goal and one assist. Olivia Anson and Rebekah Dick each scored one goal.
In goal for Thiel,
Madison Rodgers (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) started for the Tomcats, making 16 saves.
For Geneva, Jade Farnsworth started, making three saves.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Washington and Jefferson. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
