BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes, 7-0, Wednesday evening.
At first singles,
Toby Atwood (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) fell to Chloe DeSanzo 6-0, 6-1.
Emily Peters (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) fell to Lauren Estes 6-0, 6-2 at second singles, while
Megan Harding (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) fell to Delaney Winterhalter 6-0, 6-2 at third singles.
Mila Brdar (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport) fell at fourth singles to Rachel Hodsden 6-1, 6-1.
At first doubles, Atwood and Peters fell to DeSanzo and Estes 6-1. At second doubles, Harding and Brdar fell to Winterhalter and Hodsden 6-1.
The Tomcats return to Tomcat Tennis Courts on Friday against Carlow. Prior to the match, the Tomcats will honor the senior members of the team. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
