GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match to the Carlow Celtics, 5-2, at Tomcat Tennis Courts Friday afternoon.
Prior to the match,
Emily Peters (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) was honored for senior day.
At first singles,
Toby Atwood (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) fell to Julia Piatt 6-0, 6-3. At second singles, Peters fell to Caitlin McCarthy 6-4, 6-4. At third singles,
Megan Harding (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) fell to Lyric Knepshield 6-3, 6-2, while
Mila Brdar (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport) fell to Elle Duda 7-6, 6-0 at fourth singles.
Carlow forfeited fifth and sixth singles.
At first doubles, Atwood and Peters fell to Piatt and McCarthy 6-2, while Harding and Brdar fell to Knepshield and Duda, 6-3.
The Tomcats finished the fall season 2-10 (1-7 PAC).
