WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 11-0, Saturday afternoon.
Waynesburg scored just 15 seconds into the match, and would go onto score three more first half goals. They would add seven second half goals to round out the scoring.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Julz Mohrbacher and Kate James who each recorded two goals and one assist.
Thiel was led by
Jenna Murrey (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) and
Jordan Jennings (Portsmouth, Ohio/Wheelersburg).
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) started the game for the Tomcats, making four saves.
Heather Farr (Conneaut, Ohio/Edgewood) finished the game in goal, making three saves.
Alexus Greenlief started in net for Waynesburg, before Mya Riggle and Leah Kemp split time in the second half.
The Tomcats are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Grove City. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
