GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Grove City Wolverines, 8-0, Wednesday afternoon at Don Lyle Field.
It took Grove City just 16 minutes to break the deadlock. They would add four more first half goals.
The Wolverines added three second half goals to round out the scoring.
Thiel was led by sophomore forward
Jenna Murrey (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) who recorded two shots, including one on goal.
Heather Farr (Conneaut, Ohio/Edgewood) also recorded a shot on goal.
Grove City was led by Tori Stevenson who recorded two goals. Megan Mathes tallied one goal and two assists.
In goal for the Tomcats,
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) recorded 11 saves. This is the fifth time this season she has recorded double-digit saves.
In net for the Wolverines, Courtney Lisman got the start, before Maddie Mills played the second half. Mills recorded two saves.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday against the Chatham Cougars for senior day. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
