GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Franciscan Barons, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
It did not take the Barons long to get on the board as Julian Rubino scored just three minutes into the game. She added her second goal of the day just three minutes later.
The Barons found themselves up 5-0 at halftime, before scoring four second half goals to round out the scoring.
Thiel was led by
Jenna Murrey (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) and
Bethany Brodock (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Pasippany), who each recorded a shot.
For Franciscan, Tania Davidson recorded a hat trick, while J. Rubino tallied two goals.
In net,
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) recorded five saves for the Tomcats. Rebekka Dill recorded the shutout for the Barons.
The Tomcats hit the road for a matchup with the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets on Saturday. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
