BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.
Geneva got on the board in the 17
th minute to break the deadlock.
The Golden Tornadoes would score nine minutes later to give them a 2-0 lead at the halftime break.
Geneva would add two second half goals to round out the scoring.
Geneva was led by Emma Daku-Treas who recorded one goal and two assists. Saige Musser also recorded a goal on three shots.
Thiel was led by
Jenna Murrey (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) and
Bailey Fritz (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Austintown Fitch).
In net for the Tomcats,
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) recorded a career-high 14 saves.
For Geneva, Jade Farnsworth started in goal, before Megan Bartley closed out the game.
The Tomcats are back in action on Tuesday when they host the Franciscan Barons at Alumni Stadium. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
