GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost its Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener, 9-0, to the Washington and Jefferson Presidents at Alumni Stadium Wednesday afternoon.

The Presidents got on the board in the fifth minute and did not look back.

Washington and Jefferson went into halftime up 6-0, before adding three second half goals to round out the scoring.

For the Presidents, Maura Heberle scored a hat trick. Katie Brown also scored two goals.

In net, Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) made ten saves for the Tomcats. Her counterpart, Abby Hipkins recorded a clean sheet.

The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Geneva for a PAC matchup. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
