NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Saturday to the Westminster Titans, 20-8.
Bennett Medyn (Macedon, N.Y./Palmyra Macedon) tallied his 100
th career point in the game on an assist in the first quarter. Medyn became the ninth Tomcat to reach the 100-point plateau.
Chase Lawler (Etters, Pa./Red Land) (2G, 2A) and
Pat Hartnett (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) (1G, 3A) led the Tomcats with four points apiece Saturday.
Zach Melin (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) scored three goals.
Steve Alcegaire (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) led Thiel on defense with four caused turnovers.
Nick Hubner led the Titans with nine points (7G, 2A) while Ryan Greer notched seven points (3G, 4A).
Jason Masciantonio (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) made 17 saves for the Tomcats. Bradley Green denied nine shots for the Titans.
The Tomcats will face the Saint Vincent Bearcats on the road on Sunday, April 23. Faceoff for the PAC game is slated for 1 p.m.
