GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a non-conference game to the Penn State Shenango Lions Saturday at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium, 76-64.
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) led the Tomcats with a game-high 25 rebounds to go along with 22 points. It was her 10
th double-double of the season. With her 25 rebounds, Johnson moved into second place on the program's career rebounds list (858), surpassing Thiel Athletic Hall of Famer Penny Aits who amassed 843 rebounds from 1980-84. Johnson also contributed seven steals and six assists.
Freshman guard
Shayla Foster (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) scored a career-high 17 points and corralled six rebounds.
Lexy Wagner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) matched her career-high with 16 points while also contributing six rebounds.
Aneziah Fryer led the Lions with a game-high 25 points. Shar'Da Williamson scored 23 points and grabbed a team-best 17 rebounds.
