GREENVILLE, Pa. – Thiel College junior midfielder
Ashlyn Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) recorded her 100
th career point Saturday during a 20-11 non-conference loss to the Fredonia State Blue Devils at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
Wightman's 100
th point came on an unassisted goal with 13:46 remaining in the third quarter. Wightman, who scored four goals Saturday, currently has 102 career points which ranks her seventh in program history.
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) led the Tomcats with eight points (7G, 1A) Saturday. She also tallied four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Julie Culver led the Blue Devils with nine points (5G, 4A) while Erin Woods scored eight goals.
Emily Carr made 17 saves for Fredonia State while
Grace Carrizo (Franklin Square, N.Y./H. Frank Carey) made 12 saves for Thiel.
The Tomcats will face the Buffalo State Bengals on the road Wednesday. The non-conference game will begin at 6 p.m.
