SHARON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team dropped a non-conference game to the Penn State Shenango Lions, 87-75, on the road Wednesday night.
The Tomcats had two players score 20 points or more, and three players record double-digit points.
Thiel was led by freshman
Jensen Stehlik (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia), who recorded a career-high 28 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists. Stehlik also accounted for 21 of the Tomcats 29 fourth-quarter points. She shot 10-of-18 from the field, including 6-of-10 from three-point range.
Taylor Susany (Struthers, Ohio/Struthers) recorded 20 points and five rebounds while shooting 7-of-12 from the field.
Kelsey Seddon (Cochranton, Pa./Lakeview) tallied 12 points and six rebounds, while
Josie Lewis (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) tallied a game-high seven assists.
Penn-State Shenango was led by Hailee Aguinaga and Kylie Krupp who both recorded 20 points apiece. Shar'Da Williamson recorded 19 points and added five rebounds.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday, December 30 when they travel to Pitt-Greensburg. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
