STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College women's volleyball team concluded the 2023 season with a 3-2 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to the Franciscan Barons on the road Saturday afternoon.

Franciscan took the first set 25-14 before Thiel took the second set 25-15.

The back and forth affair continued as the Barons took the third set 25-15, before the Tomcats sent the game to a fifth set by taking the fourth set 25-13.
Thiel held a 10-7 advantage in the fifth set, but Franciscan scored eight of the final 10 points to take the game.

Thiel was led by Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) who recorded 19 kills and three digs. Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) recorded 13 kills and 15 digs, while Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) recorded six kills and four blocks. Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) recorded a team-high 19 digs. Taegan Geiser (Holmesville, Ohio/Waynedale) recorded

In their final game as a Tomcat, Madison Murray (Bristolville, Ohio/Maplewood) recorded one kill and two blocks, while Sarah Orr (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area) recorded eight digs and two service aces.

Franciscan was led by Mary Jean Cadman who recorded 17 kills and 19 digs. Gabrielle Disselkamp recorded 16 kills and 15 digs, while Sara Moore recorded a game-high 26 digs.

The Tomcats conclude the season 3-22 (1-9 PAC).
