MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel Tomcats lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Saturday to the Allegheny Gators, 27-3.

Preston Lefkowitz (Warren, Ohio/Champion) got the Tomcats on the scoreboard with 9:14 remaining in the first half on a 27-yard field goal. The Tomcats covered 40 yards on 13 plays, but the drive stalled at the Allegheny 9-yard line.
Allegheny went on to score two more touchdowns before halftime on passes from Jack Johnson to Declan O'Brien. The first was a six-yarder with 2:27 remaining while the second was a 42-yarder with 1:01 left before the break.
Johnson threw three touchdown passes on the day, the first of which gave the Gators a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter. He completed 21-of-37 passes on the day for 204 yards.
Kyrie Miller led Allegheny on the ground with 72 yards and a score on 19 totes. O'Brien caught five passes for 80 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Andrew Plowden (Homewood, Pa./Penn Hills Charter) paced Thiel's offense with 73 rushing yards on 14 carries.
Jamar Jeter (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) caught four passes for 14 yards.
Darnell Jordan (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse) led Thiel's defense with 11 tackles while
Chad Morningstar (Saxton, Pa./Tussey Mountain) made seven tackles. Allegheny's Nigel Williams made six tackles while recording a sack and a forced fumble.
The Tomcats will face the Saint Vincent Bearcats on the road Saturday. Kickoff for the PAC game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
