LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road to the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 8-0, Wednesday night under the lights at UPMC Field.
It took Saint Vincent only four minutes to grab the lead, and never looked back.
The Bearcats would add five additional first half goals, before scoring two second half goals to round out the scoring.
Thiel was led by
Jordan Jennings (Portsmouth, Ohio/Wheelersburg) who recorded two shots, including one on goal.
Bailey Fritz (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Austintown Fitch) also recorded a shot on goal.
For Saint Vincent, Tanisha Grewal notched two goals and two assists, while Emma Koller recorded one goal and one assist.
In goal for the Tomcats,
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) recorded 11 saves. It is the sixth time this season Hoffman has recorded double-digit saves.
In net for the Bearcats, Madison Arnold got the start, making two saves. Maggie Perkins played the second half.
The Tomcats are idle this weekend before heading to Bethany for a PAC showdown next Tuesday. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
