GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes Tuesday night at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium, 3-1.
Geneva won the first set 25-22 before Thiel won 25-19 in the second set. The Golden Tornadoes edged the Tomcats 25-23 in the third set before earning a 25-14 win in the fourth set.
Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) led Thiel with 10 kills while
Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) tallied eight kills and six blocks.
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) registered 15 digs, seven kills and four blocks while
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) chipped in with a match-best 33 digs.
Taegan Geiser (Holmesville, Ohio/Waynedale) contributed 26 assists and 19 digs while
Emma Buchta (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) tallied five kills and two blocks.
Sarah Orr (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area) had 17 digs.
Kami Mummau led Geneva with 17 kills to go along with 15 digs. Zoe Pifer had 32 digs while Samantha Peachey handed out 31 assists.
Thiel will face the Bethany Bison on the road Thursday. The PAC match will begin at 7 p.m.
