SHARON, Pa. – The Thiel College Department of Athletics and the Blue-Gold Club held its annual Blue-Gold Golf Outing Monday at Avalon at Buhl Park.
 
One hundred and eight alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Thiel College athletics made up 27 teams at the event.
 
The winning team was comprised of Jason Sylak, Jake Sylak, T.J. Konowisky and Nick Flauviano. Chris Laverty, Luke Sadowski, Logan Pistorius and John Applegate finished second. Stu Mentkiewicz, Billy Sullivan, Brian Wires and Eric Hunter placed third while David Grande, Joe Walsh, Matt Fabian and John Evans finished fourth.
 
Hudson Construction, Inc. was the title sponsor for the event. Anderson Coach & Travel was the refreshment sponsor while Hudson Companies was the lunch sponsor.
