GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team lost a rain-shortened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on the road Wednesday to the Grove City Wolverines, 5-0.
Karsten Lagerquist and Ryne Talko defeated
Eli Flinchbaugh (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) and
Haruto Kuroda (Himeji-shi, Japan) 8-0 at first doubles. Collier Kaufman and Jameson Sposato topped
Noah Brieck (Kensington, Ohio/United Local) and
Christian Kemp (Knoxville, Pa./Cowanesque Valley) 8-0 at second doubles.
At fifth singles, Josiah Newton defeated
Kevin Gilroy (Cuyahoga, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) 6-0, 6-0.
Thiel is scheduled to play the Washington & Jefferson Presidents on the road Thursday. The PAC match is set to start at 4 p.m.
