WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss on the road to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents on Thursday.
 
Eli Flinchbaugh (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) led the Tomcats with a 7-5, 2-6, 12-10 win over Abhinav Yarramaneni at first singles.
 
At third singles, William Gunn topped Noah Brieck (Kensington, Ohio/United Local) 7-5, 6-3. Samuel Vessah defeated Christian Kemp (Knoxville, Pa./Cowanesque Valley) at fourth singles 6-4, 6-3.
 
Yarramaneni and Vessah edged Brieck and Kemp 8-7 at second doubles.
 
Thiel will face the Geneva Golden Tornadoes on the road on Wednesday.
