Trey Williams (Jeromesville, Ohio/Hillsdale) led off the inning with a double and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Chase Morrison (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley).
Thiel capitalized on a leadoff double again in the sixth.
Nick Jacobs (New Castle, Pa./Union) hit the leadoff double and scored on a

After the first two batters reached base in the top of the ninth, Thiel played small ball to add to its lead. With three consecutive bunts, the Tomcats scored two insurance runs and held on to win their season-opener.
