Early run leads Bison over Tomcats

BETHANY, W.Va. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Wednesday to the Bethany Bison, 50-30.
 
The Bison opened the game on a 14-0 run and never looked back in earning their 11th win of the season.
 
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) led Thiel with 11 points and five rebounds. Destiny Merriwether (Youngstown, Ohio/East) came off the bench to score six points and secure six rebounds. Rebecca Litz (Brookfield, Ohio/Brookfield) also corralled six rebounds and scored four points while Taylor Susany (Struthers, Ohio/Struthers) scored five points.
 
Bethany's Makenzee Mason led all players with 17 points and nine rebounds. Courtney Walker scored 10 points while Ashleigh Wheeler scored nine points and tallied five rebounds.
 
The Tomcats will face the Grove City Wolverines on the road Saturday. The PAC game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
