GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Wednesday to the Franciscan Lady Barons at Beeghly Gymnasium, 59-43.
Freshman guard
Taylor Susany (Struthers, Ohio/Struthers) paced the Tomcats with 18 points off the bench. All of her points came on three-pointers.
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) recorded a double-double with a game-high 13 rebounds and 12 points.
Colleen Trainer (Latrobe, Pa./Mount Pleasant) scored six points for Thiel to go along with four rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Lexy Wagner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) scored five points while
Destiny Merriwether (Youngstown, Ohio/East) recorded four rebounds and three blocks.
Madison Doan scored a game-high 28 points and secured seven rebounds for Franciscan. Jazzlyn Melnyk contributed 12 points and six rebounds.
The Tomcats will close out the regular season Saturday when they host the Saint Vincent Bearcats at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
