Box Score 2 SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team concluded play Saturday in the Bromwyn Keener/Amanda Swazey Superstar Invite, hosted by Susquehanna University. The Tomcats lost their first match of the day 3-0 to the Susquehanna River Hawks before earning a 3-2 win over the Neumann Knights.
Susquehanna defeated Thiel by set scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-16.
Maria Torres (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) led the Tomcats against the River Hawks with eight kills and seven digs.
Kylee Eaton (Parker, Pa./AC Valley) and
Raquel McDonald (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) combined for seven kills.
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa. /Grove City Area) tallied 13 assists and seven digs.
Susquehanna's Rosina Esposito recorded 18 kills.
Thiel won the first two sets against Neumann 25-19, 25-20. After the Knights won the third and fourth sets (29-27, 25-21), the Tomcats won 15-13 in the final game.
Torres recorded 15 kills and 12 digs against the Knights.
Cassandra Bown (Broadalbin, N.Y./Broadalbin-Perth) and
Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Oregon/Pendleton) recorded eight kills apiece while
Jordyn Liedike (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) tallied seven kills and a match-high six blocks.
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) led all players with 48 digs. Reynolds and
Brooke Talbot (Calcutta, Ohio/Beaver Local) combined for 48 assists.

The Tomcats, who have won seven of their last nine matches, will host the Westminster Titans on Tuesday. The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
