GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup to the Grove City Wolverines, 3-0, on Tuesday night.
Grove City broke the deadlock in the 18
th minute through Aidan Eck and would take that 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
The Tomcat defense would hold strong for a majority of the second half, but the Wolverines would go on to score two goals in a 37 second span to finish the scoring.
For the Wolverines, Aidan Eck, Jed Hart and Daniel Sharp each recorded a goal. In net, Jesse Greyshock recorded two saves in the match.
For the Tomcats, junior
Evan Young (Suitland, Md./Henry E. Lackey) and junior
AJ Trobek (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) each recorded a shot on goal. In net, freshman
Nick Kristian (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) recorded five saves in the contest.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Chatham for a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
